Further to earlier reports, prices of acid grade fluorspar, used to produce hydrofluoric acid and a range of refrigerant fluorochemicals, have declined further to lower levels than those published since the start of the year, according to reports from numerous industry participants.
Leading consumers of fluorspar have told IM that prices of acid grade fluorspar (Chinese wet filtercake, FOB China) for bulk contracts have declined to $280-300/tonne from a published range of $510-530/tonne at the start of the year.
